Prayer and Communication
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. -Psalm 19:14 ESV
As every Christian knows, prayer is a very important factor in our relationship with God. Because of its significance, our prayer must also be acceptable to God. Like we speak to our brothers with courtesy and respect, we must communicate to God with reverence, gratitude, repentance, and submission.
This verse comes at a right time in my life. I have not been consistent with my communication with Him. It is because I was disappointed in Him and felt He has let me down. However because of this message, I know that He still cares for me. Like a shepherd to his lost sheep, He wants me back.

Psalm 119:59-60 NIV “I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statutes. I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.”
During our quiet time with God, scipture reading, and prayers to Him, we think about our deeds. It is common that we encounter, or are impressed upon about our sins. We must know that it is harmful to delay repentance. Also, when we discover that God wants us to do something, we should hurry in obedience. Let us allow God to move us, so that we are with Him. “Speed in repentance and speed in obedience are two excellent things. We are too often in haste to sin; O that we may be in a greater hurry to obey.” - C. Spurgeon (enduringword.com)

Thank you Lord for your faithfulness. You really know the challenges that I face. I have not asked, but You already know what is in my heart. You blessed me even if I am not always faithful. Forgive me Father for my shortcomings.
I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. -Psalm 119:7 (NIV)
